Demand ID collects information from our users at several different points on our website. This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that TourVote is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by Demand ID. PRIVACY POLICY – TOURVOTE SERVICES Registration In order to use our service, a user must first complete a brief registration form. To benefit from our advanced notification services,  a user may be required to give contact information (such as name and email address), certain demographic and lifestyle information, and preferences for filtering message content. This is used to deliver to the user information and recommendations they have asked to receive. Cookies A cookie is a piece of data, usually stored on a user’s computer hard drive, that allows a website or application, like TourVote, to “personalize” its content for the user. Cookies are a necessary part of the TourVote service because they allow us to store the information you’ve given to us about your interests. Cookies enable TourVote to track and target the interests of users to enhance the user experience. Log Files We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the service, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. TourVote Polling Data and Sharing of Demographic Information Demand ID Systems' core business is the provision of a market intelligence service to the live music industry. We reserve the right to provide aggregated information regarding the live music requests, placed through the TourVote polling application, to individuals and companies in the live and recorded music industries and other peripheral industries. We also  reserve the right to share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. In neither case is the information provided or shared linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. Surveys & Contests From time-to-time our service requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, age level). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this service. Security Demand ID Systems takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. The Company does not share in any way, with any third party, personally identifying information collected from you during your use of our site, without your prior permission. It may be necessary for us, at certain times, to reveal statistical information regarding TourVote data, such as number of visitors or detailed breakdowns of the number of votes cast, but we will never reference any individual user by name, address, or any other personal information. When users submit personal information via TourVote, it is protected both online and off-line. All information stored by Demand ID is accessible only by Demand ID employees who need the information to perform a specific job. All computers on which the information is stored are located in secure facilities and are password protected to be available only to Demand ID employees. Correction/Updating Personal Information If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us. This can usually be done at the member information page or by emailing our Customer Support. Choice/Opt-out Users who no longer wish to receive promotional materials from us may opt-out of receiving these communications by emailing us at support@demandid.com. In certain cases, we are able to offer opt-out mechanisms on user information pages. Users of our service are notified when their information is being collected, through our service, by any outside parties. We do this so our users can make an informed choice as to whether or not they should proceed with services that require an outside party. Transfer of User Information in the Event of Acquisition or Merger TourVote user information may be transferred to another company in the event that Demand ID merges with or is acquired by another party. Because of the nature of the TourVote service and our focus on helping consumers influence the geographic placement of entertainment events, it is most likely that, should an acquisition or merger occur, user data will be used in a similar fashion to the way in which it is used today. Notification of Changes If any changes are made to our privacy policy, such will be posted on our home page so our users may be informed of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we would notify users by way of an email.
